Jessica Glass, Assistant Principal

Ms. Jessica Glass

My career in education began in 2007 as a mathematics teacher and coach in my hometown of Tallahassee, Florida. I attended Florida State University, where I earned my undergraduate degree in Secondary Mathematics Education. My husband and I relocated to the New Orleans area in 2008, and in 2010, I had the privilege of joining Destrehan High School as a mathematics teacher. In 2015, I earned my Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Southeastern Louisiana University.

During my ten years in the classroom as a Fighting Wildcat, I taught Algebra I, Algebra II, Intensive Algebra I, and Advanced Math I. I also coached girls soccer and both boys and girls cross country.

I am thrilled to be a member of the administrative team at Destrehan High School. In my current role, I observe and evaluate teachers across multiple content areas, oversee grades and transcripts, and serve as the twelfth-grade administrator.

I am passionate about building meaningful relationships with students, supporting teachers in their growth, and helping create a school culture where every student has the opportunity to succeed.
