Mr. Corey Weeks

I have proudly served St. Charles Parish Public Schools for nearly two decades, where I have had the opportunity to grow as both an educator and a leader. I am entering my second year as an Assistant Principal at Destrehan High School. Before joining the DHS community, I served for six years as an Assistant Principal at R. K. Smith Middle School, supporting students, teachers, and families while helping foster a positive learning environment. Prior to that, I spent 12 years teaching fourth and fifth grade at Lakewood Elementary School, where I developed a passion for guiding young learners during such an important stage of their academic and personal growth.

I am a graduate of the University of New Orleans and hold a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Southeastern Louisiana University. These experiences have equipped me with a strong foundation in both instructional practice and school leadership, which I strive to apply each day in service to our school community.

Outside of my professional responsibilities, I have been married to my wife for 19 years, and together we are raising two wonderful children. My family continues to be my greatest source of inspiration and support.
